Surat: Diamond city will host four-day automobile extravaganza – Surat International Auto Expo 2017 at Surat International Exhibition and Convention Center (SIECC) at Sarsana from Thursday, January 26. Exhibition is organized jointly by The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) and National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC).
Surat International Auto Expo will be inaugurated by chairman and managing director of NSIC Ravindra Nath and BJP MP C R Patil. Executive chairman of Western India Automobile Association (WIAA) Nitin Dosa and director of Navneet Group Sharad Kachalia will be chief guest at the function.
Mehul Desai, chairman of SGCCI’s auto committee said, “This time around the Auto Expo is going to be a unique experience for the participants, exhibitors and the auto enthusiasts. We have organized Fashion Show for cars “Vehicles on the Ramp.”
According to Desai, other attractions include Go Cart, Remote Controlled Cards, Formula 1 Stimulators, SUV vehicles, stunt biking, stunt cycling and vintage cars.
Sources said the diamond city happens to be the world’s fourth fastest growing economy having the highest growth rate and highest per family income in the country. In the past two years, the automobile market has jumped to top gear and leading car makers like Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Nissan etc. have opened their showrooms in the city.
