Shaikh Abdul Qayyum
Have you ever thought of your body mechanism? What a marvellous, outstanding creation! Have you as a student at this learning stage of yours ever pondered on how and why the creator has created humans on the face of earth? There are several millions of species on this planet earth each DNA is distinct to other. No two species are of similar DNA, not even humans. Earlier on February 12, Campus TND, an article on refutation of Darwin’s theory of evolution was published, which explains in great detail about man and other living beings that are created by a Creator, almighty, cherisher of the living beings on the world. In this article we would focus all our attention and do a brainstorming session asking several questions on our existence.
Isn’t it mind boggling when we think of our heart pumping continuously for 365 days a year and 24 by 7, without energy sources like electricity, solar energy, hydroelectricity. Our blood which has the immune system is continuously struggling fighting with germs again 24 by 7, the white blood corpuscles are defending the immune system killing thousand-millions germs protecting us from various illnesses. The moment it fails we fall prey to various diseases, and a multiple failure of immunity leads to AIDS. Human immunodeficiency virus infection and acquired immune deficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS) is a spectrum of conditions caused by infection with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Following initial infection, a person may not notice any symptoms or may experience a brief period of influenza-like illness. Typically, this is followed by a prolonged period with no symptoms. As the infection progresses, it interferes more with the immune system, increasing the risk of common infections like tuberculosis, as well as other opportunistic infections, and tumors that rarely affect people who have working immune systems.
What happens when such normal functioning of the human body gets halted? Naturally we cease to exist, death overpowers and human is no more. Ever thought what is a soul? Who has created a soul? As till now no one has ever seen a soul, only felt like we feel air, it is somewhat ambiguous, but certainly does exist. After death will the humans be re-created? For this one has to read religious books the primary sources, holy Vedas, Bible, and Quran and retrospect each holy book to find out what is the truth? Who is the creator and why has he created us?, humans such a magnificent, wonderful, human body each organ in its proper proportion and size of without slightest imperfection, each in harmony with other organs co-operating without slightest objection. So now with such questions: Did we exist by chance? Is there God? And where did we come from?
Logically it is not possible to accept that we came just by a chance as in the earlier paragraphs we just highlighted in brief of our marvellous creation. It could be ‘we created ourselves,’ ‘we came from nothing’ or ‘something else created us.’ As far as we are logical, for instance one cannot believe that a cell-phone just merely came into existence by itself. If such a electronic item which was not available in the ancient centuries ago cannot come into existence by itself than how a human eye (576 pixels) such a magnificent creation which is far extraordinary than one of the latest and highest megapixel cameras. Thumbprint which is unique and distinct of each human out of the billions, brain with marvellous storage to several thousand terabytes working marvellous feats of producing indigenous inventions, heart the most powerful pump on the face of earth daily pumping 7,200 litres of blood, with the kidney working 24/7 filtering 180 litres of blood daily!!! And you still think that you came by chance?? The creator once said, “O, people! Listen to this besides Allah, you will not be able to create a single fly even if all of you are united for this purpose. And if the fly should steal away from them a (tiny) thing, they could not recover it from. Weak are the pursuer and pursued.” (Source: Quran 22:73) One has to ponder on these scientific verses from Quran which makes us spellbound and challenges humans that with all the science and technology we have, we are not able to create a similitude of fly, nor a human in form of robots. It will be a disgrace for us humans and as students that with all our education, we in our wildest dream have, if never thought of our mighty creator as to who is our creator? In our lives one may become scientist, doctor, engineer, architect, philosopher, journalist as to say but when after passing our retiring age, or death may come without us ever thought on who is our creator will be a greatest loss for humanity.
