Surat: Keeping in mind the health of those who guarantee our safety, smart cop health card and a mobile health app for cops of South Gujarat districts was launched here in the city on Monday. This intends to create awareness about fitness amongst the policemen and also help them keep a tab on their health at regular intervals.
Shamsher Singh, inspector general of police, Surat, Dakshesh Thakar, vice-chancellor, Veer Narmada South Gujarat University, Mahendra Chauhan, member, Medical Council of India and Mahendra Patel, Surat district collector together launched the smart cop health card and the mobile health application. The event saw the attendance of policemen from different districts of south Gujarat and their family members.
The smart card will also ease their seeking appointments from doctors named in the panel and at a discounted rate.
